'Fright Night' Exclusive Clip: Don't Invite Colin Farrell Into Your Home
Think you have the neighbor from hell? Tell that to Charley Brewster; he's literally facing a neighbor from the great beyond throughout the duration of "Fright Night," director Craig Gillespie's remake of the 1985 cult classic. It's teenager Charley versus the vampire Jerry in "Fright Night," and this battle against the undead is taking its toll on our poor hero. In this MTV News exclusive clip, Charley does his best to explain the threat-next-door to his mother Jane without spilling the beans that Jerry's a blood-sucking, fang-wielding monstrosity a revelation that not only wouldn't many any sense, but wouldn't really do any good. But his abilities to properly articulate his fears are, forgive the pun, a bit drained at the moment. Anton Yelchin stars in the movie as Charley, delivering a performance that screenwriter Marti Noxon previously described to MTV as positively Spielbergian. "I think [Anton's] going to be huge," she told us back in April. "He has such humanity. He's so likeable. He's a perfect Spielbergian hero, you know? He's human-sized, and yet, he feels things so deeply and he makes you feel them too. That was really true across the board. They just dug in and pretended that it wasn't a horror movieit's just a movie where some crazy stuff is happening. Anton, first and foremost, he just really brought it." "Fright Night" sinks its fangs into theaters this Friday (August 19). Tell us what you think of the exclusive "Fright Night" clip in the comments section and on Twitter!
